During Qlik’s May 2-4 Qonnections event in Orlando, Florida, the company announced their investment focus in analytics, data and cloud services. The forthcoming changes and implementation are set to kick off in June of 2016.
Area #1- Analytics: Qlik Sense Enterprise 3.0, will supply visual search and exploration capabilities intended to enable business users to locate new insights without demanding analysts to edit and modify visualizations and data . The update adds innovative features, including automatic detection and charting of time related and geographic data. The new launch will provide developers with integration and visualization API’s while also providing a plugin for Visual Studio.
Area #2- Data: With Qlik announcing the acquisition of partner Industrial CodeBox, a move that will turn that company’s QVSource product into a built-in tool for integrating cloud-based data. The QVSource enhances your Qlik Business Discovery Platform. According to Qlik, QVSource makes QlikView and Qlik Sense the best connected Business Discovery and data visualization platforms on the market, allowing analysis of the impact of social media and many other channels on revenue stream performance, by interconnecting with online services and feeding the data into the Qlik platforms. QVSource has more than 40 pre-built connectors for popular Web-based sources including: Facebook, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SugarCRM and Twitter. Qlik also announced Qlik DataMarket Financial Data Packages, that will offer licensable data on stocks, catalogs and corporate financials drawn from over 30 exchanges around the world.
Area #3- Cloud: Qlik announced their Qlik Sense Cloud Business, which is set to be released during sometime after June, will support secure sharing of analytics with internal and external groups. The target demographic is departments of larger businesses and small and midsized enterprises and is offered through monthly and annual contracts.
