Adaptive Solutions has an immediate opening for a Cognos 8 Business Intelligence consultant. Candidate responsibilities will include all aspects of implementing Cognos 8 BI applications. Examples include:
- Project Management activities
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements
- Installing and configuring software
- Designing and developing solutions to support the business needs
- Delivering test plans and testing applications
- Migrating the applications to production
- Delivering knowledge transfer.
Knowledge of K-12 / Higher Education a strong plus. Travel within the United States is required.
Technical Requirements:
- Cognos 8 expertise is a must
- Knowledge of databases, database design and SQL is a must
- ETL and Data Manager skills are a plus
The ideal candidate must possess:
- 1 year experience working with Cognos 8 BI products
- 2 years practical experience in the work force
(K-12 / Higher Education a plus) - Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- BS degree in business or IT
